Simply put, a working hypothesis is a way for us to understand what is happening with the client – what factors might be causing the distress – and what would be effective ways to support the client to move towards what he or she wants or what might be helpful; and the important aspect is that the working hypothesis looks at the client situation and coaching plan from a holistic and systemic perspective.
As coaches, let’s understand a bit more about how the process of developing a working hypothesis happens; and how we can use it to support our client!
