One of the most satisfying aspects of being a coach is the opportunity to contribute in the success of our client’s achieving the goals that they set for themselves; It is certainly a privilege to be part of their life and journey.
And when I use the term coaches I include executive coaches, life coaches, and leaders or managers as internal coaches.
Now, just imagine that we’ve helped one client through his or her difficult phase, and then another client, and as a coach we do this day after day, month after month, year after year.
In addition to this, we also have to manage the reality of our own life with its ups and downs. As humans we too struggle with managing family, schedules, difficult relationships, stressful life situations…You get the picture?
Not only are we dealing with our own life and its associated challenges, but we’re continually receiving the negative energy from our clients.
We are setting ourselves up for compassion fatigue.
So what is compassion fatigue? And, how can it impact you as a Coach or a Leader? And, what do you need to do about it?? This episode is critical for your success as a COACH and as a LEADER…
